We went on a driving trip through part of the Southwest; Arizona and New Mexico to be exact.  We saw many, many beautiful, historical, and sometimes mystical places. We also met a lot of really nice and interesting people like Elisabeth from Austria (hi!!), LaVerne ("The Hugging Mayor") in Bisbee, AZ., and Ranger Jeff in Saguaro National Park.  I am looking for more of our pics to post.  Ine the meantime, here is the snake we saw in the middle of a dirt road right next to the border.  Also, here's a movie of the bats at Carlsbad Caverns (quality isn't the best since I shot it with the new camera I was learning to use).
